Some people also report drier skin or hair in hard-water areas; that can be real for some households but is not a medical diagnosis by itself.
What hard water is not
- It is not automatically “polluted”
- White scale is not the same as lead or pesticide contamination

- A salty taste is more often related to sodium or other dissolved solids, not hardness alone
